IGCSE全⾯详解国际学校考试必知

什么是IGCSE？

在了解IGCSE之前，我们可以从GCSE⼊⼿。

GCSE课程是英国普通初级中学课程，英国学⽣从9-10年级学习6-12个GCSE科⽬（⼀般会选修9或10个科⽬），学完

GCSE课程就结束了义务教育的学习。

⽽除去英国本⼟，其余国家的GCSE课程叫IGCSE(InternationalGeneralCertificateofSecondaryEducation)，是⽬前

国外14岁⾄16岁全球考试⼈数最多的体系之⼀，是CIE(CambridgeInternationalexamination)剑桥全球测试的⼀部分。

IGCSE在世界100多个国家都能修读，⽽且得到普遍认可。学⽣学完IGCSE课程能够很好地衔接A-LEVEL，或者IB课

程。

课程设置

IGCSE课程在学制上⼤体相当于中国的⾼⼀、⾼⼆年级课程，它由CIE和EdexcelInternational考试局分别提供。CIE考

试局的IGCSE有70多门课程，共九⼤类。

热门课程有：

•语⾔类：汉语、法语、德语、意⼤利语、⽇语、西班⽛语等

•⼈⽂和社会科学类：地理、历史、部分中东国家研究、宗教研究等

•科学类：农业、⽣物、化学、环境管理、物理等

•数学类：数学、国际数学等

•应⽤类：会计、艺术和设计、经济研究、计算机科学等

•英语类：英语（第⼀语⾔第⼆语⾔⽂学）、世界⽂学

•⼈⽂类：全球视⾓

•社会科学类：经济

•艺术类：艺术和设计、⾳乐、戏剧

课程要求

全球的国际学校⼀般会要求学⽣学习5到14门IGCSE课程，每位学⽣需要通过7门课程考试，合格后才能获得毕业证

书。这7门课程的搭配如下：

剑桥IGCSE考试每年举⾏两次，在6⽉和11⽉进⾏。考试结果发布于8⽉和次年1⽉。

考试地点

全球设有多个考点。上海有34个考点（⽐如上海德威、上海哈罗国际、上海耀中国际等）其中18个考点接受个⼈申请参

考试试题

考试试题由所属的剑桥考试委员会统⼀命题。

考试结果

IGCSE考试成绩分8等：A*（Astar）、A、B、C、D、E、F、G。其中A*最⾼，G最低。如果出现了U，意思是

UNGRADED，即不及格。

学⽣通过考试后，证书有3个类型：

1.卓越：5门A或者A+，2门C或者C以上成绩；

2.优秀：5门C或者C以上成绩，2门F或者F以上成绩；

3.合格：7门G或者G以上成绩

⽽学⽣参加IGCSE考试得到的分数，可以换算成美国的GPA：

获得IGCSE证书不仅可以为A-LEVEL提供更多选择，也能够很好地衔接IB课程。对于那些已经确定⼤学所读专业的学⽣

来说，IGCSE为⼤学专业学习奠定了良好的基础。
