PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer with a peeler which can recognize a printing mode with a minimum configuration.
SOLUTION: The printer 1 with the peeler performs printing on a label printing sheet 14A having a mounting sheet 14b on which a label 14c is attached. The printer 1 with the peeler has a peeler unit 10 which peels off the label 14c after printing from the mounting sheet 14b, a label discharge outlet 12 which discharges the peeled label 14c, a label detection lever 39 which is displaced by the label 14c discharged to the label discharge outlet 12, and a photo-coupler 40 which detects the displacement of the label detection lever 39. A control unit 60 of the printer 1 with the peeler is formed such that either print mode of a peeler mode and a continuous mode is t in accordance with detection of the photo-coupler 40.
