YuanmingyuanPark,situatedinthenorthwestofBeijing,isthemostmagnificentroyalgardenofQingDynastyinthe

structionstartedin1709duringtheruleoftheEmperorofKangxi(thecondemperorofthe

QingDynasty.),wentthrough6emperorsandfinallyfinishedin1875.

TheparkiscompridoftheEternalSpringGarden,theWanchunGardenandYuanmingyuanGardenwiththe

buildingareaofover160,000squaremetersasbigastheImperialPalaceandtheareaofwateraslargeasthe

SummerPalace.

YuanmingyuanParkwasnamedbyEmperorKangxi."Yuanming"meansroundandbrightnessinChineandthe

Chinecharacteris"圆明".Theimplicationof"Yuan"ismoderateandthe"Ming"meansthatthebrightnesscancover

thewholenation.

YuanmingyuandrewonthecharacteristicsofSuzhougardensandinheritedthecreamofChineancientgardening.

ThesouthernpartofYuarestpart

distributesfortyscenicareasinwhichmorethan50spotsimitatefamousparks,lakesandmountainsathomeand

abroad.
