小道消息，有高层说paula的风格比较柔和，鼓励为主，观众看腻了，需要新面孔，惹了paula,但是她本身合约到期了，也不怎么想继续，就提高的续约的价钱，结果没有谈妥。至于宝拉为什么不想继续了，其中一个较大的原因是，今年的冠军本来应该是ADAM，但是ADAM是一个G~~,就是喜欢男生，美国反对同性爱的人也很多，为了不惹更大的争议，影响到某些政客，FOX只好把冠军给了KRIS,KRIS是基督教徒，他本来和ADAM的票数悬殊，结果最后一天他的家乡整整多出来2000W的投票，这基本是不可能的，当时宝拉似乎已经知道了内幕，还没出结果的时候宝拉对ADAM赞赏有加，说你的表现对这次比赛的结果是个巨大的讽刺，早就流露出了惋惜的神色，我本身非常喜欢宝拉，觉得她很直接，不做作，是真情流露。还有一次宝拉说这次比赛的结果很可能让人觉得扫兴和不可思议，主持人RYAN立刻打断她了，最后宣布KRIS是冠军的时候，SIMON张大了嘴巴不敢相信，就连KRIS都搂着ADAM说：你们知道，这冠军本应该是ADAM的。。还没说完，RYAN赶紧打断了，说 赶紧享受你的这一刻吧！我看了整个比赛，觉得非常假，气死了，美国民主自由怎么还能出来这种事情呢？ 后来在美国的论坛上看到有人说了，美国正因为什么都自由，所以一但出现一个风潮马上蔓延全国，对政治都有很大影响，处于某些政治利益考虑，让一个获得美国偶像，会让很多基督教徒不满，有可能出现很多麻烦。 我就说这么多了，打字好累啊。
