在众多愚⼈节起源的传说中，有⼀个版本得到了不少⼈的认可。相传，在1582年，教皇格列⾼利⼗三世改⾰，开始采⽤

新的历法，这个历法就叫“格⾥历”（当然，是以他的名字命名的），新历法将原有新年的第⼀天从3⽉底改为了1⽉1⽇。但是

呢，很多⼈并不买账，执意沿⽤旧历，依然在3⽉底“过新年”。于是，主张改⾰的⼈对这些任性的守旧者⼤加嘲弄，甚⾄有⼈

在4⽉1⽇给他们送去假的礼品，邀请他们参加假的⼤趴，并把上当受骗的⼈称为“fool”。

April Fools’ Day is on the first day of April, which is a day for people to make fun of each other. Some people figure out

all the ways to play jokes, such as getting married, which surely shocks everybody. But some jokes are not acceptable, such

as suicide. Some teenagers want to attract more people’s attention, so they play the joke that they feel negative about life

and want to end their lives. When their friends call police and finally realize that it is a joke, they will be very angry. No matter

what kind of joke we play, we should not cross the line and make others worried. The meaning of Fools’ Day is to let people

feel ead from the great pressure. Playing joke is the effective way, but we must keep the rules.
