端午节英语作文(一)

The Dragon Boat Festival is held every year on the fifth day of

the fifthlunar month. The Dragon Boat Festival is a traditional

festival of the Chinehan people to remember qu yuan, and the custom

of eating the rice dumplings withthe dragon boat and the rice

dumplings. The Dragon Boat Festival is a nationalholiday and is

listed in the world intangible cultural heritage list.

There is a tradition in our hometown. The Dragon Boat Festival is

to bewashed with mugwort and then hung on the door of the room and in

front of thegate to repel mosquitoes. Put mugwort on the door if you

don't have to pointmosquito-repellent incen, a summer in my

hometown where farmers mother-in-lawcan hang it on the door, every

family hangs.

And the time of the Dragon Boat Festival when our grandparents

起，包的很结实。一个个粽子放入锅中。大约要过30多分钟才有那种人口即香

的味道。

哇终于煮好了奶奶用手帕沾了点水放在簸箕的两边断

端了起来香喷喷的粽子就这样好了。

go to thevegetable market to buy many wormwood and mashed garlic,

“五月五，是端阳，插艾叶，戴香囊，吃粽子，撒白糖，龙舟下水喜洋

洋。”农历五月初五是端午节，端午节是我国三大传统节日中的一个，还称

“重午节”、“端午节”。

传说在古时候有一为受人爱戴的伟大爱国诗人屈原，因故投江自尽，于是

老百姓自发地划着龙船去捞救他，还向江中抛撒粽子。让鱼虾蟹吃饱了不去咬

屈原的遗体。后来每到端午节这一天，人们都要赛龙舟、吃粽子，来纪念这为

伟大的爱国诗人。

每当这一天来临的时侯，人们总是要把红、黄、蓝、白、黑五色丝线系在

儿童个脖颈、手腕或足踝上，称为长命缕——我想是想让孩子们长命百岁吧!各

家要插“五端、菖蒲、艾草、石榴花、蒜头、龙船花。”

怪不得一到端午节，奶奶就去菜市场买许多艾草和蒜泥，在中午12：00时

放在太阳底下晒，说艾草、蒜泥能消毒，还在家中用艾草煮。我想：端午节的

风俗可真多呀!
