on my birthday two years ago, many special things
happened on me. and i would
remember them forever.
that morning, i rode my bike to school happily as usual. on
my way to the
classroom, i saw some of my classmates. but when they saw
me, they rushed away. that made me confud. becau they
would talk to me or play jokes on me before. but it was strange
today.
when i came into the classroom, i found the atmosphere was
quite strange.
everybody looked at me and laughed loudly. suddenly they
all said in good order,“happy birthday to you!” then they began
to sing “happy birthday to you~~~~~~” that made me moved.
i never told anyone about my birthday, how did they know? i
believed they must have done a lot of things. at that moment, i
found nothing to say but thanks instead!

ladies and gentlemen, this is joe biden, i'm filling in for
president obama, while he address the nato summit in wales.
when the president and i took office in january of , this nation
was in the midst of the greatest economic crisis since the great
depression. our economy had plummeted1 at a rate of 8% in a
single quarter-part of the fastest economic decline any time in
the last half century. millions of families were falling underwater
on their homes and threatened with foreclosure. the iconic
american automobile2 industry was under siege.
but yesterday's jobs report was another reminder3 of how far
we've come. we've had 54 straight months of job creation. and
that's the longest streak4 of uninterrupted job growth in the
united states' history.
we've gone from losing 9 million jobs during the financial
crisis to creating 10 million jobs. we've reduced the
unemployment rate from 10% in october of to 6.1% today. and
for the first time since the 1990s, american manufacturing is
steadily5 adding jobs-over 700,000 since . and surveys of both
american and foreign business leaders confirm that america once
again is viewed as the best place in the world to build and invest.

Hold Fast To Your Dreams
I have a dream today.
I have a dream that one day every vally shall be exalted, every
hill and mountain shall be made low, the rough places will be
made plain, and the crooked places will be made straight, and
the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall e it
together.
Wow, what a dream it has been for Martin Luther King. But
the changing world ems telling me that people gradually get
their dreams lost somehow in the process of growing up, and
sometimes I personally find mylf saying goodbye
unconsciously to tho distant childhood dreams.
However, we meed dreams. They nourish our spirit; they
reprent possibility even when we are dragged down by reality.
They keep us going. Most successful people are dreamers as well
as ordinary people who are not afraid to think big and dare to be
great. When we were little kids, we all dreamed of doing
something big and splashy, something significant. Now what we
need to do is to maintain them, refresh them and turn them into
reality. However, the toughest part is that we often have no ideas
how to translate the dreams into actions. Well, just start with
concrete objectives and stick to it. Don’t let the nameless fear
confu the eye and confound our strong belief of future.
Through our talents, through our wits, through our endurance
and through our creativity, we will make it.
Hold fast to dreams, for if dreams die, life is a broken-winged
bird that cannot fly. Hold fast to dreams, for when dreams go, life
is a barren field frozen with snow. So my dear friends, think of
your old and maybe dead dreams. Whatever it is, pick it up and
make it alive from today.

that's all good news.
but an awful lot of middle class americans are still not feeling
the effects of this recovery. since the year , gross domestic
product-our gdp - has rin by 25%. and productivity in america
is up by 30%. but middle class wages during that same time
period have gone up by only fourteen cents.
folks, it's long past time to cut the middle class back into the
deal, so they can benefit from the economic growth they helped
create. folks, there ud to be a bargain in this country supported
by democrats6 and republicans, business and labor7. the bargain
was simple. if an employee contributed to the growth and
profitability of the company, they got to share in the profits and
the benefits as well. that's what built the middle class. it's time to
restore the bargain, to deal the middle class back in. becau,
folks, when the middle class does well, everybody does well-the
wealthy get wealthier and the poor have a way up.
you know, the middle class is not a number. it's a value t. it
means being able to own your home; rai your children in a safe
neighborhood; nd them to a good school where if they do well
they can qualify to go to college and if they get accepted you'd
be able to find a way to be able to nd them to college. and in
the meantime, if your parents need help, being able to take care
of them, and hope to put aside enough money so that your
children will not have to take care of you.

perhaps the clintons' greatest achievement is their daughter,
who moved into the white hou as a young girl, and left as an
accomplished young lady. it's not easy to be a teenager in the
white hou, but it's a lot easier when you have a loving mother
and a loving father that chela clinton had.
this magnificent presidential library, and the american life it
celebrates, would not have been possible without the love and
sacrifice of a special lady. among his heroes, president clinton
always includes his mother, virginia kelley, "a working woman and
a widow." virginia was there when her son took the oath of office,
and we know that she would be incredibly proud of this day.
the story that began in a little hou on hervey street in hope,
arkansas is the kind of story that inspires people from every
background, all over america. in this great nation, it is always
possible for a child to go as far as their talent and vision can take
them. visitors to this place will be reminded of the great promi
of our country, and the dreams that came true in the life of our
42nd president. the william j. clinton presidential library is a gift
to the future by a man who always believed in the future. and
today, we thank him for loving and rving america.

i have so many feelings through that special day. the only
ro without thorns in the world is friendship. a true friend is
someone who reaches for your hand and touches your heart.
truly great friends are hard to find, difficult to leave, and
impossible to forget. one friend in a lifetime is much, two are
many, three are hardly possible. stick to make friends, forlife
without friends is like life on a dert island. to find one real
friend in a lifetime is good fortune, to keep him is a blessing.
thank you for your attention!

"no one need be afraid" -- the north carolina ratification
convention -- "no one need be afraid that officers who commit
oppression will pass with immunity." "procutions of
impeachments will ldom fail to agitate the passions of the
whole community," said hamilton in the federalist papers,
number 65. "we divide into parties more or less friendly or
inimical to the accud."³ i do not mean political parties in that
n.
the drawing of political lines goes to the motivation behind
impeachment; but impeachment must proceed within the
confines of the constitutional term "high crime[s] and
misdemeanors." of the impeachment process, it was woodrow
wilson who said that "nothing short of the grosst offens
against the plain law of the land will suffice to give them speed
and effectiveness. indignation so great as to overgrow party
interest may cure a conviction; but nothing el can."
common n would be revolted if we engaged upon this
process for petty reasons. congress has a lot to do:
appropriations, tax reform, health insurance, campaign finance
reform, housing, environmental protection, energy sufficiency,
mass transportation. pettiness cannot be allowed to stand in the
face of such overwhelming problems. so today we are not being
petty. we are trying to be big, becau the task we have before
us is a big one.
this morning, in a discussion of the evidence, we were told
that the evidence which purports to support the allegations of
misu of the cia by the president is thin. we're told that that
evidence is insufficient. what that recital of the evidence this
morning did not include is what the president did know on june
the 23rd, 1972.
英语口语三分钟演讲作文 篇8
we have heard time and time again that the evidence reflects
the payment to defendants money. the president had knowledge
that the funds were being paid and the were funds collected
for the 1972 presidential campaign. we know that the president
met with mr. henry petern 27 times to discuss matters related
to watergate, and immediately thereafter met with the very
persons who were implicated in the information mr. petern was
receiving. the words are: "if the president is connected in any
suspicious manner with any person and there be grounds to
believe that he will shelter that person, he may be impeached."
justice story: "impeachment" is attended -- "is intended for
occasional and extraordinary cas where a superior power
acting for the whole people is put into operation to protect their
rights and rescue their liberties from violations." we know about
the huston plan. we know about the break-in of the psychiatrist's
office. we know that there was absolute complete direction on
ptember 3rd when the president indicated that a surreptitious
entry had been made in dr. fielding's office, after having met with
mr. ehrlichman and mr. young. "protect their rights." "rescue their
liberties from violation."
the carolina ratification convention impeachment criteria:
tho are impeachable "who behave amiss or betray their public
trust."4 beginning shortly after the watergate break-in and
continuing to the prent time, the president has engaged in a
ries of public statements and actions designed to thwart the
lawful investigation by government procutors. moreover, the
president has made public announcements and asrtions
bearing on the watergate ca, which the evidence will show he
knew to be fal. the asrtions, fal asrtions, impeachable,
tho who misbehave. tho who "behave amiss or betray the
public trust."

A Young Idler,An Old Beggar
Almost everyone knows the famous Chine saying:A
young idler,an old beggar. Throughout history,we have en
many cas in which this saying has again and again proved to
be true.
It goes without saying that the youth is the best time of life, during which one's mental and physical states are at their peaks.
It takes relatively less time and pains to learn or accept new
things in a world full of changes and rapid developments. In
addition, one is less likely to be under great pressure from career, family and health problems when young. Therefore,a fresh
mind plus enormous energy will ensure success in different
aspects of life.
Of cour,we all know:no pains,no gains. If we don't
make every effort to make good u of the advantages youth
brings us,it is impossible to achieve any goals. As students,we
should now try our best to learn all the subjects well so that we
can be well prepared for the challenges that we will face in the
future.
英语口语三分钟演讲作文 篇10
good afternoon!
recently, ther is a heated debate in our society. the college
students are the beneficiaries of a rare privilege, who receive
exceptional education at extraordinary places. but will we be able
to face the challenge and support ourlves against all odds? will
we be able to better the lives of others? will we be able to accept
the responsibility of building the future of our country?
the cynics say the college students are the pampered lost
generation, which would cringe at the slightest discomfort. but
the cynics are wrong. the college students i e are eagerly
learning about how to live independently. we help each other
clean the dormitory, go shopping and bargain together, and take
part time jobs to supplement our pocket money.
the cynics say we care for nothing other than grades; and we
neglect the need for character cultivation. but again, the cynics
are wrong. we care deeply for each other, we cherish freedom, we
treasure justice, and we ek truth. last week, thousands of my
fellow students had their blood type tested in order to make a
contribution for the children who suffer from blood cancer.
as college students, we are adolescents at the critical turning
point in our lives. we all face a fundamental choice: cynicism or
faith, each will profoundly impact our future, or even the future
of our country. i believe in all my fellow classmates. though we
are still inexperienced and even a little bit childish. i believe that
we have the courage and faith to meet any challenge and take
on our responsibilities. we are preparing to assume new
responsibilities and tasks, and to u the education we have
received to make our world a better place. i believe in our future.

the president did know that it was republican money, that it
was money from the committee for the re-election of the
president, which was found in the posssion of one of the
burglars arrested on june the 17th. what the president did know
on the 23rd of june was the prior activities of e. howard hunt,
which included his participation in the break-in of daniel
ellsberg's psychiatrist, which included howard hunt's
participation in the dita beard itt affair, which included howard
hunt's fabrication of cables designed to discredit the kennedy
administration.
we were further cautioned today that perhaps the
proceedings ought to be delayed becau certainly there would
be new evidence forthcoming from the president of the united
states. there has not even been an obfuscated indication that this
committee would receive any additional materials from the
president. the committee subpoena is outstanding, and if the
president wants to supply that material, the committee sits here.
the fact is that on yesterday, the american people waited with
great anxiety for eight hours, not knowing whether their
president would obey an order of the supreme court of the
united states.
at this point, i would like to juxtapo a few of the
impeachment criteria with some of the actions the president has
engaged in. impeachment criteria: james madison, from the
virginia ratification convention. "if the president be connected in
any suspicious manner with any person and there be grounds to
believe that he will shelter him, he may be impeached."
